Galena To Host Volleyball Districts In October

​August 30, 2018
           Galena R-II School District will host the 2018 MSHSAA Class 1 District 7 volleyball tournament on Tuesday, October 23 and Wednesday, October 24. David Sherer, Galena Athletic Director, announced preliminary plans last week. 
           There are only seven teams in District 7, namely Galena, Hurley, Crane, Exeter, Purdy, Verona and Wheaton. The first game will start at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday the 23rd with the teams ranked fourth and fifth. 
           ​The semi-finals will start at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, and continue until the final game, tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m.
