Galena Man Injured in Christian County Wreck

         23 year old Taylor V. Young, of Galena, was taken to the hospital on Thursday, May 3, after his vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, was hit from behind while stopped to make a left turn. 
         According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Young was westbound on Missouri 14 in Christian County when the crash occured just after 4 p.m. last Thursday. Young was stopped to run left onto Poppy Lane when the truck was hit in the rear by a 2004 Buick Rainier driven by Sherill K. Naaf, 77, of Clever. 
         Naaf did not report any injuries in the crash. She was  wearing a seatbelt. Taylor Young had minor injuries. He was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. It is unknown if he was using a safety device at the time of the crash. 
         ​Young’s 2008 Chevrolet Silverado had moderate damage. It was driven from the scene. Naaf’s 2004 Buick Rainier also had moderate damage. It was towed by Double Eagle Towing.
