Carl Stacy Lasley, 44, of Galena, was found deceased along Johnson Rowe Road on Saturday, September 1. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Lasley wrecked a 2003 Harley Davidson XL1200 at some point between August 5 and September 1, the exact date is not currently known.
The Highway Patrol crash report is dated August 5, as that is the day that Lasley’s family had heard from him, however, the exact date of the wreck is not currently known. The report reads, in part, “late fatality crash ... occurred sometime between August 5 and September 1.”
Lasley was reportedly driving the Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Johnson Rowe Road, about 3.6 miles northeast of Galena, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway. It then hit a tree and a fence.
