Galena Lady Bears kicked off their season with a match against Miller on Tuesday, September 3. Even taking a loss, they saw positive growth on passing and defense. The statistical leaders for the Lady Bears were Lexi Miller (7 kills and 4 digs), Sierra Ledford (1 ace and 4 digs) and Jaelyn Cutbirth (12 assists).
Thursday, September 5, the Lady Bears traveled to Niangua and came home with their first win of the season. The statistical leaders for the Lady Bears were Lexi Miller (10 kills and 3 aces), Katelyn Lebow (3 aces), Nila Keltner (7 digs) and Jaelyn Cutbirth (15 assists).
Saturday, September 7, the Lady Bears competed in the Verona Invitational Volleyball Tournament taking home third place.
Galena Lady Bears fought hard against New Covenant Academy last Tuesday night, September 10, falling in two close sets, 23-25 and 25-27. The statistical leaders for the Lady Bears were, Lexi Miller (13 kills), Sierra Ledford (3 aces), Katelyn Lebow (20 digs), and Jaelyn Cutbirth (17 assists).
