Galena JH Boys Basketball run record to 12-0

The Junior High Galena Bears played the Billings Wildcats on Wednesday, October 6. Galena got an early jump in the first quarter, going on a 17-9 run. In the second quarter, Billings was able to stop Galena on the offensive end, only allowing four points to be scored. By halftime Billings was able to make this a competitive game (21-17). In the third quarter Galena came out with something to prove, scoring 22, compared to Billings scoring eight. In the fourth Galena extended their lead scoring 11 to Billings 7. The final score was 54-32. Cody Jones led all scorers with 25 and Jacob Coones chipped in with a nice 10 piece.
The Junior High Galena Bears also played the Spokane Owls on Monday, October 12th. Galena got an early jump in the first quarter going on an 11-6 run. In the second quarter Spokane outscored Galena 9-7. By halftime Spokane were able to make this a somewhat close game (19-12). In the third quarter Spokane outscored Galena 8-6, making the score 25-20. In the fourth Galena was able to hang onto the lead with a final score of 33-28. Cody Jones led scoring with 25 and Bobby Harris chipped in 12.
