Galena FFA members recently returned from a trip to the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. While there, the students, who traveled with the Pierce City FFA chapter, visited the National Mall and other important sites, including meeting with Missouri Representative for this district Billy Long.
Since returning from the trip, the FFA members have been busy trying to raise funds for more trips like these.
On Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30, the FFA members held a farmer’s market and petting zoo at the Galena High School, where members sold produce and other goods.
Now, the FFA is selling pork rinds to help pay for next year’s activities. According to FFA advisor Quaid Taylor, “Galena FFA is selling pork rinds and kettle corn for $5 a bucket. We have original, bbq, chili lime and hot flavors for the pork rinds. You can contact my buy twitter, @galena_ag, or my cell (417) 299-1398.
