We would like to recognize the Galena High School Cross Country runners who have achieved an Academic All-State award for the 2020 season. The following students have all managed to maintain a grade point average of 3.6 or higher throughout the entire first semester. Sophomores, Colton Ellingsworth and Cameron Elder, Juniors, Harley McCullough and Jacob Martin, and Senior, Chalice Sherer. Martin also qualified as eligible for Academic All-State because he received an ACT score of 25 or higher. Our running Bears started off their season a little rough due to several individuals put in quarantine, but they managed to finish strong in the classroom. We are very proud of our Galena Bears!
