Four charged after meth found during traffic stop

August 27, 2020
Isaac Estes-Jones

Four people are in the Stone County Jail after they were allegedly found with meth after a traffic stop last week. The vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado truck, was stopped for multiple lane violations outside of Reeds Spring on Y Highway.

According to affidavits of probable cause, used in filing charges, Corporal Algya, of the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, initiated the stop on Thursday, August 20, at around 4 a.m.

After the truck pulled over, Corporal Algya took the driver’s information, as well as the information for the other passengers in the front of the truck. He was informed by central dispatch that Randy Farley, 53, of Neosho, had a revoked drivers license and also had prior convictions of driving while revoked. Farley was taken into custody for driving while revoked.

While processing the vehicle to be towed, law enforcement allegedly found nearly two ounces, 46 grams, of methamphetamine inside the truck. Along with the narcotic, which field tested positive for meth, drug paraphernalia was also uncovered. Additionally, officers found ledgers and nearly $5,000 in cash.

Farley is being held in the Stone County Jail without bond as of this writing. The other individuals in the vehicle, Christina Carr, 28, of Neosho; Trisha Cochran, 31, of Granby; and Brandy Vance, 44, of Stark City, were charged with trafficking narcotics in the second degree. All three are being held in lieu of $50,000 bond. Farley also faces a charge of trafficking narcotics in the second degree, in addition to driving while revoked/suspended.
