Five Arrested in Stone County over Memorial Day Weekend

       The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested five people over the Memorial Day Weekend, according to online arrest records. Four of those arrests were for boating while intoxicated. Locations for the arrests are not currently available.
       The first arrest in Stone County happened on Saturday, May 26, at 8:04 p.m. according to the online arrest record. Warren W. Thompson, 43, of Nixa, was released after being cited by the Highway Patrol. He has charges of boating while intoxicated, allowing a person to ride on the gunwhale and having insufficient flotation devices. 
       At 8:45 p.m. that same evening, Joel T. Hodges, 57, of Branson, was stopped for boating while intoxicated and failure to display navigation lights. He was released to a sober operator. 
       On Sunday, May 27, Travis C. Walters, of Talmage, Neb., was stopped by the Highway Patrol at around 5 p.m. He was cited for BWI and subsequently released to his spouse. 
       Joseph R. Welsh, 21, of Rochester, Mich., was arrested and then released on Sunday, May 27 at 6:53 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest record. He has two misdemeanor drug charges. 
       ​Finally, at around 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aaron W. Downing, 48, of Wichita, Kan., was cited and released for BWI.
