Woman Charged With DWI After Crashing Car On Meadow Ave.

December 20, 2018

Isaac Estes-Jones

A 22 year old woman from Crane was arrested in the early hours of December 12 after crashing her car in town while allegedly driving drunk.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report and arrest report, Amber L. Patterson, 22, of Crane, was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero west on Meadow Avenue in Crane when the crash occurred at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12.

The report states that the vehicle ran off the road and hit a 1992 Ford F150 that was parked next to the road facing eastbound. The collision occurred near the intersection of Meadow and College on the east side of Highway 413.

Patterson, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries from the crash. The report states that she refused treatment at the scene.

The arrest record indicates that Highway Patrol has requested charges for DWI-Alcohol, failure to maintain the right half of the roadway and no insurance. She was booked into the Stone County Jail and subsequently released at 9:10 a.m. the same day.

The 1999 Oldsmobile Alero had minor damage. It was towed by Johnson’s Towing, of Crane. The 1992 Ford F150 also had minor damage. It was left at the roadside at the request of the owner, who was not named in either report.

This incident was investigated by Trooper K. R. Copeland with Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
