A Kimberling City man is in the Stone County Jail after he was allegedly driving while smoking marijuana and carrying pills with a child in the vehicle.
According to statements of probable cause, used in filing charges, 33 year old Kelly S. Pietrzykowski was stopped by Stone County Sheriff’s Deputies in southern Stone County on Thursday, January 18. While speaking with Pietrzykowski, the deputy reportedly noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Pietrzykowski and his minor daughter reportedly exited the vehicle at the deputy’s request.
Pietrzykowski allegedly admitted to throwing a roach out of the car before being stopped. He also allegedly admitted to the deputy that he had a baggie of marijuana.
Along with the baggie of marijuana, a search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered seven alprazolam (xanax) pills, one and one half morphine pills and several acetaminophen and hydrocodone combination pills. Other than the alprazolam, the pills are classified as schedule 2 drugs.
Pietrzykowski was placed under arrest and transported to the Stone County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 cash-only bond. He is charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree.
