Driver Seriously Injured In Christian County Wreck

September 20, 2018
Isaac Estes-Jones
A Crane man was seriously injured in Christian County last week after crashing into a truck near Nixa. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 56 year old Allen T. Muenzer, of Crane, was driving a 2008 Yamaha XP1700 motorcycle when the crash occurred at 1:35 p.m. on Thursday, September 13.
According to the report, Muenzer was driving the motorcycle east on Route M, about one mile south of Nixa, when the motorcycle crashed into a truck, driven by Robert L. Sissel, 77, of Nixa. The report states that the truck, a 2015 Chevrolet 3500, made a left turn into a private driveway in front of Muenzer.
Muenzer, who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield by Christian County EMS. Sissel did not report any injuries.
The 2008 Yamaha was totaled and towed by Henry’s Towing of Brookline. The 2015 Chevrolet had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
