Driver Seriously Hurt In Crash Outside Hurley

A Crane man was seriously hurt in a single-vehicle crash outside of Hurley on Tuesday, July 28.


According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Kenneth E. Laughlin, 67, was driving a 2002 Ford Escape west on Warner Road. At around 2:35 p.m., the Escape ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.


Laughlin, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield by EMS for treatment.


The 2002 Ford Escape was totaled in the crash. It was removed from the scene by Johnson’s Wrecker, of Crane.


This incident was investigated by Msgt. S. R. Rowe, of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D. ​
