Driver Injured After Four-Wheeler Loses Tire

A Kimberling City woman was hurt last week when a wheel on the UTV she was driving fell off. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Karen S. Rehagen, 63, of Kimberling City, was driving a 2013 Arctic Cat on Happy Cave Road when the incident occurred on Tuesday, September 17.
The vehicle was heading south on Happy Cave Road, about three miles south of Kimberling City, when the left rear wheel of the UTV came off. It lost control and overturned.
Rehagen suffered serious injuries in the crash. She was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment by EMS. She was not wearing a safety device at the time of the incident.
The 2013 Arctic Cat had moderate damage and was towed from the scene by a private party.
This incident was investigated by Troop C. A. Heil, of Missouri State Highway Patrol troop D.
