A Reeds Spring man was hurt after he swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle in Highway 413.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Timothy A. Guyette, 33, of Reeds Spring, suffered minor injures after running off the road. Guyette was driving a 2001 Ford Escape when the incident occurred at 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30.

The Escape was heading north on Missouri Highway 413 about one mile west of Reeds Spring when Guyette swerved the vehicle to avoid an oncoming vehicle. No details about this other vehicle are available in the crash report.

In the process of avoiding the oncoming traffic, the Edge ran off the side of the highway, hitting a sign and a culvert before coming to a stop.

Timothy Guyette sustained minor injuries in the crash. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

The 2001 Ford Escape was totalled in the crash. It was towed by Chris’s Towing, of Lampe.
