Stone DD Board To Host Family Connections Event In Crane

The Stone County Developmental Disability Board kicks off its 2019 Family Connections meetings on Saturday, January 26 from 2pm-3:30pm at the First Baptist Church in Crane. This is an informational meeting for individuals and their supports who have a diagnosed developmental disability like Autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome or other developmental or intellectual disability. Service coordinators and provider agencies will be available to provide information or sign up individuals for services including case management, transportation, sports and life skills programs, Project Lifesaver and art and music therapy.
This is the first of four quarterly Family Connections meetings to be held in 2019. The Stone County Developmental Disability Board’s goal is to reach out to all areas of Stone County. Agencies will be on hand to give information and sign up qualified individuals for services.
Formed in late 2016 by a vote of Stone County citizens, the Stone County Developmental Disability Board is responsible for providing services and supports for people with Autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injury or other defined developmental disabilities which occurred before the age of 22 and have a medical diagnosis.
