A 21 year old Crane man suffered minor injuries after his vehicle ran off the road when he swerved to avoid a deer.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Jordan N. Shephard, 21, of Crane, was driving a 2015 Ford F150 south on Farm Road 1230, about one mile north of Reavisville in Barry County when the crash occurred on Thursday, June 6, just after 9 p.m.

Shephard reportedly swerved the truck to avoid hitting a deer in the road and ran off the right side of the road, hitting a tree.

Shephard, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries in the crash. He was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Aurora.

The Ford F150 had minor damage and was driven from the scene.
