Crane Man Charged with Rape

     A 25 year old Crane man, Blake Johnson, faces charges of statutory rape after allegedly assaulting a teenager under the age of 15. 
     According to statements of probable cause, Blake Alan Johnson assaulted the girl last Wednesday, January 17, at an apartment in Crane. According to Deputy English, with the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, Johnson followed the teen into the bathroom when she was at his apartment. She reported to the deputy that she told Johnson no while he assaulted her. Once she pushed Johnson off of her, Johnson allegedly left the residence. 
     Blake Johnson is charged with Second Degree Statutory Rape, a Class D felony carrying a penalty, if convicted, of up to seven years imprisonment with the Department of Corrections 
     ​Johnson was taken into custody on Thursday, January 18. He is being held in the Stone County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash-only bond. He will next appear before Judge Blankenship on Tuesday, January 30.
