Crane FBLA Attends State Conference

Members of the Crane Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter recently attended the 2019 Missouri FBLA Leadership Conference held on April 14, 15 and 16 in Springfield.
Delegates representing Crane in the state competitive leadership awards program were: Madison Hicks and Chase Baxter in Business Communications, Drew Johnson in Cyber Security and Networking Concepts and Mackenzie Myers in Introduction to Public Speaking. Winning recognition at the state conference were: Madison Hicks, seventh in Business Communications, and Mackenzie Myers, tenth in Introduction to Public Speaking.
Other students attending the conference were Sadie McMenamy Olivia Edwards, Megan Funcannon, Perry Mease, Mackenzie Myers, Drew Johnson, Dezi Montes, Seth Steele, Lauren Akin, Chesney Essary, Isaiah Smith and Darin Terrell. Carol Lumpkin is the local chapter adviser and accompanied the students to the conference.
FBLA is a career and technical student organization for all high school students participating in business programs. Over 5,000 students and advisers came together for the event, with over 150 business education related contests running during the event; contest topics range from accounting to website design, marketing to mobile application development. 2019 marked the largest SLC in Missouri history.
