Cow in Road Sends One to Hospital

        One person from Clever was hurt last week after his car hit a cow in the road near Nixa.
        According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Joyce S. Lacher, 49, of Clever, was driving at 2005 Buick north on Nicholas Road in Christian County when the vehicle hit a cow in the road. The wreck occurred at 5:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 1. 
        Lacher reported minor injuries in the collision and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield by ambulance. Lacher was wearing a seat belt. 
        The 2005 Buick was totaled in the collision. It was towed by St. John’s Towing. 
        This incident was investigated by Trooper Rawson with Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
