Constitution Week is Sept. 17-23
September 12, 2019
Constitution Week is the observation for the foundation of the American form of government. It is celebrated annually during the week of September 17 through 23. This year marks the 232nd anniversary of the signing on September 17, 1787, in the Pennsylvania State House where the Declaration of Independence was signed and where George Washington received his commission as Commander of the Army, now called Independence Hall.
The Elk Horn Prairie Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution would like to encourage everyone to display the American flag and to participate in a special “Bells Across America” activity on September 17 at 3:00 p.m. locally, in which bells will ring simultaneously coast to coast.
