Civil Air Patrol Announces Promotions And Member Awards

Major Lin Redfield


Table Rock Lake Composite Squadron 147, the local squadron of Civil Air Patrol, promoted several cadets on Thursday evening, June 6th. Awards were also presented to other cadets and senior members at the meeting weekly meeting at Branson Regional Airport.


Promotions, awards and commendations are a way to show members of an organization how well they are doing and how much they are valued.


•Congratulations to Cadet 1st Lt. Taran Fletcher on receiving his Achievement 10 award and on accepting the position of the Cadet Commander


•Cadet Zander Sprouse was promoted to C/CMSgt


•Cadet Kaleb Freiburger was promoted to C/MSgt


•Cadet Elijah Benjamin Stein was promoted to C/TSgt


•Cadet Nicholas Hamlin was promoted to C/SRA


•Cadet Tori Hamlin was promoted to C/A1C


•Cadets Malachi Miller and Lucas Orr were promoted to C/Amn


Commander’s Commendations went to Major Lanna Fletcher, Captain Anthony Barnum and 2nd Lt. Janeyce Sprouse for their outstanding performance in the recent Shaken Fury Earthquake Training for flying over 7-1/2 hours during one day.


Major Lin Redfield was awarded a Commander’s Commendation for her outstanding work in creating the Ad Book for the 2019 Cardboard Boat Race, Kayak Race and Demolition Derby.


Cadets Henderson, Stein, Sprouse, Freiburger and Fletcher received Commander’s Commendations for their outstanding efforts in the fundraising for the 2019 Cardboard Boat Race, Kayak Race and Demolition Derby.


Congratulations to all who were acknowledged. Squadron 147 is proud of you.


Also, the squadron is proud to announce the promotion of Senior Member Richard Viard to 2nd Lieutenant.  Lt. Viard has been in Civil Air Patrol since November 2018 and is a valued member of Squadron 147.  Thank you Lt. Viard for all your contributions.


Squadron 147 meets on the first through third Thursday evenings at Branson Regional Airport in Hollister. On the fourth Thursday, the meeting is located at the Hollister Middle School.  The meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Please feel free to join us some Thursday evening at your convenience.  We look forward to seeing you.
