Chilingo Is Back This Week, Supporting Stone County OACAC

April 18, 2019

Isaac Estes-Jones

The second annual Chilingo fundraiser for the Stone County OACAC emergency fund will be held on Friday, April 19, at the Kimberling City Senior Center, starting at 5 p.m. “This is a fun event where all of the funds we raise are returned to Stone County families and individuals in crisis,” says Shyra Bilyeu, Stone County OACAC Neighborhood Center supervisor.

Chilingo stands for chili supper and bingo, emphasizing the two main attractions for this event. There is no need to pre-register for the event. “$10 gets you in the door for never ending bowl of chili with all the fixins’, dessert and a drink, plus three disposable Bingo cards,” says Bilyeu. Additional Bingo cards will be available for $1 each.

There will be many prizes, including gift cards, restaurant gift certificates, show tickets, IMAX and Silver Dollar City tickets and more. “There will also be a grand black out prize,” says Bilyeu.

This year’s event is 70s themed. There will be decorations and a DJ. “You can even dress up if you want,” says Bilyeu.
