Branson Man Charged With Drug Dealing

An alleged drug dealer from Branson is being held in the Stone County Jail after a Stone County Sheriff’s Deputy reportedly watched him place a magnetic container of drugs under the hood of his vehicle.
According to a Statement of Probable Cause, used in filing charges, Deputy Jenkins saw Troy L. Gill, 54, of Branson, put the magnetic container under the hood of his vehicle on Monday, May 7, while at an address on Main Street in Reeds Spring.
Gill was stopped on Larue Street and the Reeds Spring K9 officer was brought out. The K9 indicated on the vehicle and a search was conducted. Under the hood, Gill allegedly had over six grams of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. In the trunk of the vehicle, the deputy allegedly found a digital scale, several baggies and a pipe with methamphetamine residue.
A search of Gill’s person reportedly also produced several baggies of marijuana.
Under Miranda, Gill reportedly consented to a phone search and allegedly admitted to selling the drugs. Conversations about drug sales were reportedly found on Gill’s cellphone.
Gill is being held in the Stone County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash-only bond. He is charged with the Class C felony of delivery of a controlled substance.
