Bears participate in the 2021 Crane Fall Wood Bat Tournament

The Bears opened up the tournament with a victory over Hurley.  Arin McCullough was the offensive player of the game! Arin had two runs batted for the team high! The defensive player of the game was the starting pitcher Cannon Keithly. Cannon pitched seven innings not allowing a run while striking out 13! The Bears won the game 4-0 on three hits.
The Bears lost the lead late in the sixth in a 4-2 defeat to the Hartville Varsity Eagles on Thursday Night. The game was tied through the sixth when the eagles scored one run on a stolen base. The Bears got on the board in the first inning when Chase Robertson singled, scoring one run.
Logan Busbey took the loss for the bears. Busbey pitched five and two-thirds innings allowing three runs on three hits and striking out nine. Ethan Bailey led the bears in hits, going two for four at the plate.
The baseball Bears played Billings in the consolation game on Saturday, September 18. The Bears struggled to get some offense going against Billings. The Bears gave up 11 runs on 10 hits while striking out six. The Bears scored one run on five hits. The Bears defense struggled as multiple errors were made throughout the whole game.
