An Oak Grove, Ark., man was hurt over the weekend after reportedly running off the road on Highway 86, west of Blue Eye.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Anthony J. Tibbets, 22, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado east on 86 when the crash occurred after 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.

The truck ran off the right side of the road, over-corrected, then ran off the left side of the highway, hitting a tree.

Tibbets, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by Mercy EMS.

An online arrest report indicates the highway patrol requested DWI charges be levied against Tibbets. Other charges include failure to maintain right half of roadway and no seat belt. Tibbets was released for medical treatment.

The 2004 Chevrolet Silverado had extensive damage from the crash. It was towed by Randy’s Towing, of Berryville, Ark.
