Several area groups will host Easter Egg Hunts, starting this weekend in Hurley.
The City of Hurley’s fifth annual “SprEaster” event will be Saturday, April 13, starting at noon. The egg hunt will begin promptly at 1 p.m. in the field behind Hurley City Hall. There will be free food, provided by Southern Bank prior to the hunt, along with drawings for a bicycle in each of the four age groups after all 1,000 eggs have been gathered.
Pictures will be available with the Easter bunny for no cost this year at Hurley.
On Friday, April 19, the City of Kimberling City will hold their first egg hunt behind City Hall and the Police Department. The event kicks off at 6 p.m., with the egg hunt starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. There will be free prizes and free candy for all, with the eggs divided into two age groups for those under 12.
The Crane community Easter egg hunt will be held on Saturday, April 20, starting promptly at 2 p.m. The Outreach of Love will hide 20,000 eggs this year, split up by age groups ranging from newborn to age 12.
As usual, the Easter bunny, duck and chicken will be around for pictures in Crane the day before Easter Sunday, April 21.
Participants in all of this year’s Easter Egg hunts are encouraged to bring their own basket or bag, as they will not be provided.
