Absentee Voting Underway For November Election

            Absentee voting for the November 6, 2018, General Election began on Tuesday, September 25, announced Stone County Clerk Cindy Elmore. Absentee voting is provided for those who will be absent on Election Day, including physically disabled voters, caretakers of a physically disabled person, or employment as an election authority at a location other than your polling place.
            Residents of Stone County may vote absentee at the courthouse in Galena Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Absentee ballot applications may be found on the County Clerk’s website at www.stonecountyclerk.com. Applications must be printed and manually signed. Absentee applications may be returned via the following methods:  
            Mail: Stone County Clerk’s Office, PO Box 45, Galena, MO 65656
            Fax: 417-357-6861
            Scan and email: scocmisty@gmail.com OR scoclander@gmail.com.
            *Please make sure applications are signed and dated before sending.
            If unable to vote in person or access our website, a written absentee request may be sent to the County Clerk including the following information:
Name
Physical address
Mailing address
Date of Birth
Last four (4) digits of social security number
Reason for voting absentee
Signature
            The request should be sent to:
