A White Spring

February 25, 2021
Destiny Davis
Galena High Senior

Have you ever been so cold you can’t feel your body? Well, after these last few weeks, I think we can all agree that we have been there a time or two. I was shocked to wake up to hear that school was canceled and there was snow on the ground. I spent the majority of my time at home and Walmart, which is where I work. There were quite a few days I could not make it to work and started to get emotional. I started feeling like we were in quarantine again because it was not safe to drive anywhere and too cold to go outside, so I was just stuck inside. On the bright side, a few things brightened my week. I finally got my new car, and I am in love with it. I have had a lot of long late-night family game nights and crafts time. My favorite thing is that I was allowed to stay home and grow closer with my family and for us all to be at the same place for longer than 20 minutes. I hope everyone else is having a great little vacation from school. I AM!
