2020 Crane Christmas Parade Grand Marshall

December 3, 2020
Picture
This year’s Crane Christmas Parade Grand Marshall is Max Edmondson.  Seated beside him is his lovely wife of sixty-eight years, Gayle.
Max Edmondson attended school in Galena.  After high school he attended Southwest Baptist University at Bolivar,  and Kansas City Community College to obtain his degree.  From there, he graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas with his final degree.  Max spent fifty-eight years pastoring churches in Belle Plaine, Kansas; Harrison, Arkansas; Springfield; and Marionville. Following his retirement from serving as pastor, he served as Director of Missions for Barry County Baptist Association.  After his retirement from that position, he has served as Interim Pastor for three different churches while they searched for a new pastor.  As Rick Warren, pastor and author of A Purpose Driven Life says, “Faithful servants never retire.”
The Edmondsons have two children, Donna and Curt.  Donna and husband, Dana, have blessed the Edmondsons with two grandchildren, while Curt and wife, Cindy, have also blessed the Edmondsons with two grandchildren.  They have been further blessed with eight great- grandchildren.
Max and Gayle also buy houses and renovate them for sale or to rent.  In his spare time Max likes to golf, fish and play softball.
Thank you and best wishes to the 2020 Crane Christmas Parade Grand Marshall, Max Edmondson
